Police appeal for information after racial assault

POLICE are appealing for information following a racially aggravated assault in Beverley.
The incident took place at 5.45pm on Sunday June 14 at the Sowhill taxi rank.

According to a police spokesperson a taxi driver asked a man to move his car slightly prompting an altercation.

The taxi driver, a 48-year old Hull man, was driving a blue Skoda and he was shouted at by a man who used racist language before slamming his car door on his leg causing the victim to suffer bruising to his leg.

Then suspect was driving a light blue Ford Mondeo and is described as white, in his 40s, 5ft 6 inches tall, over weight with a heavy beer belly, unkempt hair and was wearing a dark blue T-shirt.
