A BARN dance on a grand scale has helped raise more than £3,000 for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
The event was held at Freshlands Farm, near Huggate, by kind permission of JSR Farms and featured a hog roast and live music courtesy of rock band the Glamgodz.

The fundraiser, which attracted 200 revellers, was organised by Andrew and Lynne Dodgson, of Bainton, who thanked all those who helped make the event happen and all those who offered their support on the night.

All £3,152 raised will go to the Meningitis Research Foundation in memory of their late son Michael Dodgson who died after contracting meningitis.
