THE next venture for the Driffield branch of Yorkshire Cancer Research will be a fashion show.
Being staged by CJ Fashions of Driffield at Driffield Rugby Club, the event is the latest in a long line of imaginative activities to be organised by the fundraisers - they are also responsible for annual pig racing at Cruckley Animal Farm.
The Driffield branch of YCR has raised around £1 million since it formed in 1979. One of the principal benefactors is the East Riding Engine Club and the group also receives support from many other organisations and individuals in the Driffield area. Tickets, £10 including a glass of wine, are now on sale for the fashion show to be held at Driffield Rugby Club on Wednesday October 8.
Doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and there will also be a raffle.
