THE final line-up has been unveiled for the Battle of the Sands, a major music contest to be staged in Scarborough later this month.
Ten local bands will fight it out at the Spa Ocean Room in Scarborough on November 30.
At stake will be the chance to support the main headline act at Coastival 2009 - Yorkshire goes to the Seaside! in Scarborough next February.

s, six bands from Scarborough: Fuzz Gun Sniper, Superjets, We Heart Katamari, Mum Locked in Castle, Property of Dave and Puritan; The Banter from Whitby plus Vibrant Rain from Hull, Fire Escape from Knaresborough and Black Jak from Barnsley.
The Battle of the Sands attracted entries from all over Yorkshire and Coastival organiser Wendy Clews was delighted with the response.
"Having heard their music I know that the Battle on November 30 will be a fantastic event and a Sunday not to be missed for any music fans in this area and beyond," she said.
"Doors will open at 1.30pm and the bands will begin at 2pm, running through to around 10pm.
"The two winners will have the honour of playing alongside the main headline act at Coastival."
