A man and a teenage girl have died in a three-vehicle collision in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
The 37-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Golf and a 15-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash between the Golf, a delivery van and a Peugeot 106 in Birkby Lane, Bailiff Bridge.

The driver of the Peugeot was later arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

West Yorkshire Police said the silver Golf was travelling towards Bailiff Bridge, along Halifax Road and into Birkby Lane, when it collided with the brown van, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

During the incident, the silver Peugeot also collided with the van.

The van driver and the driver of the Peugeot both received minor injuries in the crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and to anyone who saw the vehicles prior to the accident to come forward.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Calderdale`s Collision Investigation Team on 01422 337236.
