I think the development of the cattle market would be a good thing. It would create jobs and bring people into Driffield.
As it is now, it is an eyesore, where kids go to take drugs and get drunk.

It seems to me the people of Driffield do not like change, it is time they moved with the times.

We have lorries going to Tesco now through the town centre.

They would not touch the town centre if they went to a store at the cattle market.

They say it would be a danger to kids going to school with the lorries.

Well, I don't think so.

I have seen loads of boy racers speeding round that area and it is they who are a danger, not just to kids but to everyone.

A lorry goes slow and could stop quickly, but a boy racer could not do this.

P J Hay, of Driffield
