Best of Humber Bridge photographs

Last autumn, Creation Fine Arts in Beverley asked local photographers for their best pictures of the Humber Bridge.

Thirty of the 200 pictures entered go on display in the North Bar gallery this week.

Nigel Walker, of Creation, said “We knew that there were good photographers in the area and we wanted to give them an opportunity to show their work.

“The response was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. For many entrants it is the first time they will have exhibited their photography in public and had an opportunity to sell their work.

“It has certainly encouraged the gallery to run another competition later this year although we have not yet settled on the subject.”

The Best of the Bridge show will run until March 17 at Creation Fine Arts, 7 North Bar Within, Beverley.
