Bully busting Brownies!

5th DRIFFIELD Brownies have been toughening up after taking part in an anti-bullying seminar at Driffield’s National Martial Arts College.
The Brownies took part in a ‘bully busting’ class at the College which is situated on East Gate North.
The class was led by 1st Degree Black Belt Instructors Pete and Sally Philips. The youngsters played games, learnt basic martial arts, watched and took part in demonstrations.
The Brownies took part in the class as part of their celebration of the upcoming Olympics.
Brownie Leader, Gill Patterson said: “It was absolutely brill, they (the Brownies) really really enjoyed it.

“The were doing demonstrations on the way out, at home and have been talking about it at school.”
Gill has thanked Pete and Sally Philips on behalf of the 5th Driffield Brownies and their leaders for hosting such an enjoyable evening.
‘Bully busting’ seminars are available to all school and youth groups in the Driffield area. The National Martial Arts College also runs paid classes for people of all ages and experience.
