House party to remember for Viking FM at Kingswood Parks
Hosting a house party and making it open to the general public is probably not most people’s idea of the best way to sell a house, but that’s precisely what one housing developer did this weekend and they even promoted it over the radio.
Viking FM hosted the party in association with Beal Homes at the new “Village” development at Kingswood Parks in Hull, where house-hunters were invited to attend a house party with a difference in one of the Beal Homes’ show houses. Entertainment was provided by Viking FM presenters, Patrick Billington and Jim Coulson, as well as live acoustic performances from local acts, Dave Wilkinson and ET:73.
Guests were treated to complimentary drinks as they browsed the three bedroom show home and, in true house party fashion, they helped themselves to a selection of pizza and pasta dishes which were kindly donated by Antico Forno, Cottingham Road, Hull.
For those who had pre-registered with Viking FM prior to the event, there was an added incentive to hang around as they were all entered into a draw to win £5,000 towards their deposit on a new Beal home. The lucky winner of this prize, drawn by Patrick and Jim from Viking FM, was James Blakey from Hull who attended the event with his partner, Siobhan.
The prize was presented to James by Donna Hilton from Beal Homes who said: “The event has been a huge success. The footfall has been excellent and we even managed to sell a couple of houses.
“We are really pleased for James and Siobhan who have won the £5,000 towards a deposit on their new Beal home. It will make a huge difference to them and the good news for us is that they have already picked out their new Beal home at The Village.”
Speaking about the event, Viking FM’s Patrick Billington said: “Jim and I had a great time at the house party and we really enjoyed speaking to people about their dream homes.
“We were really impressed with the show home that we took over for the day and there was no wonder that so many people turned up to have a look around. I’m sure they will have been impressed by what they saw.”
The Village development consists of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom contemporary homes, set in the heart of the hugely popular Kingswood Parks in Hull. Each home has been designed for modern life, boasting spacious, contemporary living spaces together with the unique option of altering layouts to create your very own bespoke interior.
