PEOPLE living in the East Riding will be able to choose from more than 250 courses in East Riding College's new part-time course guide, which comes out this week.
Anyone who wants to learn new skills or improve their career prospects will be able to choose from a wide range of subjects, such as accounting, play work, welding, aromatherapy, languages and teaching.
Most of the courses start in September but the
re is a selection beginning in 2009 and many which can be done at any time.
There are sections on Basic Skills, such as Literacy and Numeracy, and IT, from basic computing to more advanced courses.
The guide also contains courses for employers with training needs in subjects such as Food Safety, First Aid and Health and Safety.
Courses range from half-day short courses to three-year programmes and from entry level to degree level.
Principal Derek Branton said: "The part-time guide features plenty of courses which have traditionally been very popular with our learners, such as Languages, Accounting and Watercolour for Beginners.
"However, there are lots of new courses this year, such as Sports Massage and Marketing."
He added: "You can choose anything from a quick course which gives you a flavour of your chosen subject to an in-depth course at higher education level. We also have trained guidance officers who can help you decide which course is right for you and find out whether you qualify for reduced fees."
The full guide will be availablefrom East Riding College sites on Gallows Lane, Beverley, St Mary's Walk, Bridlington, Lancaster Road, Carnaby, and St James Street, Hull.

The college's new full-time and higher education course guides, both for courses starting in autumn 2009, will be out in September 2008.
