AN afternoon tea with a twist is being held in the Driffield area to help raise funds for a cancer charity.
The Market Weighton Fundraising Committee for Macmillan Cancer Support are to hold an afternoon tea with a glass of champagne at the Michelin starred restaurant, The Pipe and Glass Inn, at South Dalton on Monday, August 16, between 1-5pm.

"This w
ill be a marvellous afternoon," said Sally Millington, local fundraising manager for Macmillan.

"James and Kate Mackenzie are kindly hosting the afternoon tea, and James himself will be presenting a mouth watering cookery demonstration using all the finest quality local ingredients. Whether you decide to treat yourself, or have an afternoon out with friends this really will be a wonderful event."

There will also be a floral demonstration by Glenholme Nurseries, music by Manny Vass, a craft stall and raffle prizes to be won.

Tickets cost £15 with proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support to make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer, and their families.

Tickets are available from Coco's, 16 High Street, Market Weighton, and the Pipe and Glass Inn, South Dalton, or contact Sheila Burton on (01430) 873606.
