PLANS to build an extension to form a tea room at a bungalow in a Driffield beauty spot now look set to get the go-ahead.
Earlier this year, East Riding of Yorkshire councillors deferred a decision on the proposals for the building at Lock View, Riverside, for the applicant to prepare a signage scheme alerting visitors that there were no turning facilities on the single track part of Riverside leading to the site.

In a report to next Monday's meeting of the council's eastern area planning sub-committee, officers say details of existing signs in the area and a further signage scheme have been submitted, and they are recommending councillors to grant the application, subject to conditions.

They say it is considered that the proposal would not have any detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the area, and, with conditions, no harmful effect on the amenities of neighbours or road safety.
