Bike thefts spree

POLICE are appealing for information about variousthefts, including several bike thefts, in the Driffield area over the last few days.
A ladies mountain bike was stolen from a cycle shed on the Kelleythorpe Industrial Estate, Driffield, between 1.30pm and 6pm on Thursday August 7. The bike is described as silver and orange with green valve caps and is a Kode brand. The bike had been
locked to the cycle rail in the shed with a D lock.

A strimmer and chainsaw were stolen from the garage of a property on Mill Street, Hutton, between Wednesday August 6 and Thursday August 7.
Someone forced entry to the garage and thoroughly searched the garage before taking the above items.

Damage to the value of £450 was inflicted on a black Fiat Punto parked on Priestgate, Nafferton, between 10pm on Thursday August 7 and 9.30am on Friday August 8.

Police said a sharp instrument was used to scratch the full length of one side of the vehicle and a wing mirror was also left hanging by its wires.

A boy's Merida mountain bike worth £300 was stolen from Nafferton Primary School between 9am and 3.30pm on Thursday August 7.

The bike is described as green, yellow, silver, and black in colour.

A boy's black Haro BMX bike was stolen from the front garden of a property in Riverside Close, Driffield, between 11am and 1pm on Sunday August 10.

A burgundy Diamond Back BMX bike was stolen from outside a shop on Scarborough Road, Driffield, at around 6.25pm on Sunday August 10.
