Driver failed to stop at lights

A DRIFFIELD motorist has been given three penalty points on his driving licence and ordered to pay a fine of £115 after failing to stop at a level crossing.
Martin George Horne, 44, of Wold View Road North, pleaded guilty at Bridlington Magistrates Court to the charge of failing to stop at the red light on Carnaby level crossing, Bridlington Bay Road.

According to Mike Waudby, prosecuting, Mr Horne was caught on camera 1.84 seconds after the warning lights started to flash.

Mr Horne was also ordered to pay court costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £15.
