A Flower festival is to be held in Driffield to celebrate the work of William Wilberforce towards the abolition of the British slave trade in the 19th century.
The exhibition of flowers, entitled From Slavery to Freedom, will be displayed at the Driffield Congregational Church from Friday April 27 to Sunday April 29.

The work will depict slavery and freedom through the ages and Friday night will be a special preview evening.

Advance tickets to the Friday opening (7.30pm to 9pm) are priced at £10 and include a buffet supper and glass of wine.

Admission on Saturday (10am to 4.30pm) and Sunday (2pm to 5pm) is £1 on the door with under fives admitted free.
