Grl, 12, hurt in attack by teenager

POLICE are appealing for information about an assault on a 12-year-old girl in Driffield.
The assault took place on Monday April 28 in Bridlington Road, at 1pm.

The girl, who is from Driffield, was approached by another girl aged about 14, who pulled her hair, pushed her head against the bonnet of a parked car, punched her in the face and pushed her into the road of an oncoming car.

The vehicle swerved to avoid her and no collision took place.
The 12 -year-old suffered bruising to her arms and legs, and a bump to the bridge of her nose, but did not receive hospital treatment.

Her assailant is described as white, about 14 years old.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has any information about the attack to ring 0845 6060222, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting log number 355 of 28/4/2008.
