DRIFFIELD'S former Thursday Street market manager Dave Wilson has formally thanked the town council for their support over the last four years.
As reported in the Driffield Post on September 26, Mr Wilson has retired from the position to start a new life in France but he has told the town council he hopes the market will continue long after his departure.

In a letter to the town council Mr Wilson expressed his thanks for “a trouble free four years” and said: “It has been my pleasure to work for a council who consider a market as part of the fabric of the town.

“I sincerely hope that despite the economic climate it will maintain its place in the weekly happenings of Driffield,” he added.
