THE Mayor and Mayoress of Driffield, Coun Tony Cooper and Coun Joan Cooper, will perform the official switch-on ceremony for this year's Saint Catherine's Hospice Tree of Lights in Driffield, on Wednesday December 3. The short ceremony will take place at 6pm at Driffield Railway Station.
Mr Ian Westmoreland, the vice chairman of Saint Catherine’s Hospice Board of Trustees, will conduct the service, the Rev Ian Jones will bless the tree and music will be provided by the East Riding Youth Brass Band.

The 20ft tree, which is decorated with 2000 lights, was organized by Mr John Sadler of Bridlington. The names of all those who have been remembered are entered into a Book of Memories, which will be available for viewing on the evening of the 3rd and then at the Driffield Hospice shop until the January 5.

Everyone is invited to stay after the service for coffee and mince pies in the station buffet.
