RECENT cases heard by magistrates sitting in Bridlington have included the following:
Adam Luke Fletcher, 18, of Stable Cottages, Thorpe Hall, Rudston, has been disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £150 after he admitted a charge of failing without reasonable excuse to provide a specimen of urine for labo
ratory test at Bridlington on July 4. He was ordered to pay a further £43 costs plus a £15 victim surcharge, but was also given the chance to reduce the length of his ban by three months by completing a rehabilitation course.

Alan Ivan Harvey, 32, of The Ridings, Driffield, has been banned from driving for 12 months and fined £150 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of driving a car on Bridlington Road, Driffield on May 29 this year with 115 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine. The legal limit is 107. He was also ordered to pay £43 costs and a £15 victim surcharge, but was given the chance to reduce his ban by three months by completing a rehabilitation course.

Barry Lesko, 27, of Middle Street South, Driffield, was fined £130 after he was found to have used a colour television receiver without a licence between February 28 and March 7 this year. He was also ordered to pay £60 in costs plus a £15 victim surcharge after the case was found to be proved in his absence.

Charlotte Mais, 27, of Victoria Road, Driffield, was fined £150 after she was found to have used a colour television receiver without a licence between February 10 and March 11 this year. She was also told to pay £60 costs plus a £15 victim surcharge after the case was found to be proved in her absence.

Michael Ernest Best, 53, of Angus Drive, Driffield, has been fined £60 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of driving a car without a valid test certificate on the A614 at Bainton on May 15 this year. He was also ordered to pay £40 costs plus a £15 victim surcharge.
