AN RAF Sea King helicopter was scrambled to Wansford on Thursday evening after a motorcyclist was injured in a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the B1249 at Wansford shortly before 6.45pm after a man came off his motorbike.

The road was closed at Wansford for over two hours and diversions were put in place at Brigham cross roads and Skerne.

The RAF were called to the scene at around 7.30pm and transported the injured motorcyclist to Hull Royal infirmary where is is currently being treated for a broken hip.

Flt Lt Stuart Cunliffe, who captained the helicopter, said: "We were called out because he was in a difficult position to move. When casualties are in difficult positions we have to move them."
