Bike breakfast for pupils

Hutton Cranswick Primary held a Bike Breakfast when children were asked to walk, scoot or bike to school, and Damian Gunn, Road Safety Officer from the East Riding Council, was on hand to administer breakfast to those willing to travel to school under their own speed. More than 60 children made the effort, which was a super achievement.

A Dr. Bike session followed, with safety checks administered to all children who brought in their bikes, and the children are now eagerly anticipating a Bike Club that will start in the autumn term.

Kris Henderson, acting head, said “It was lovely to see so many children make the effort. In a village like Hutton Cranswick it would be great to see all of the children who live in the village getting here by foot, bike or scooter every day.”
