Former pupil becomes head teacher at Driffield Junior School

The new head teacher at Driffield Junior School says one of her aims is to help it achieve an outstanding rating from the government’s schools watchdog Ofsted.

Linda Laird, who takes up her new post after the Easter holidays, is both a former pupil and a former teacher at the school.

She said: “I’m Driffield born and bred, so when I saw this job had come up I knew I had to go for it! It feels like I feel I’ve gone full circle.”
