Met office issues gale force wind warning for Driffield and Beverley

The Met Ofice has issued a gale force wind warning for much of East Yorkshire.

High winds, with gusts up to 70mph, are expected to batter the area tomorrow, Thursday

Experts have said that it will be “very windy on Thursday, with potentially damaging gusts” - with wintry showers later.

The day will begin with squally winds and potentially damaging gusts likely as rain moves southwards.

There is a brighter outlook when but it will become much colder later, with winds gradually easing as blustery and increasingly wintry showers follow.

The Maximum Temperature will be 10 °C.
