More than reassured by safety
I am also the mother of a child in the foundation stage who also happened to visit the school on the same day as Mrs Deighton-Haywood.
While I understand every Mum has their child’s safety as their main concern, I was more than reassured by the supervision in place and having spent quite a while discussing with Miss Witty the kinds of things the children play with and, more importantly, learn in the outdoor area I would be more concerned if the school limited the children’s outdoor learning experience due to one neurotic mother.
I personally believe the more opportunities a child is given to learn and play the better, rather than wrapping them in cotton wool.
