No problem with sand pit - YOUR LETTERS
I have three daughters who have all attended Driffield Infant School.
I feel the school should be congratulated for trying to stimulate the imagination of the children. I would certainly have had no problem with my children playing in the sand pit area. I personally feel that children should be exposed to different ways of learning and I know my children would have loved the opportunity to play in this sand pit.
I feel it is important for children to begin to be taught some responsibilty from an early age and the school seems to have done this by teaching the children how to use the resources safely and appropriately.
Two questions I would like to ask are, have there been any accidents since the activity was introduced, and do the children or other parents want the facility removed?
