Dee Atkinson and Harrison’s bi-annual auction of Militaria, Classic Toys and Memorabilia on Saturday broke several house records - thanks to five motor vehicles from the private collection of the late Mr Trevor Clarke, of Beeford.

It was the first time this type of auction had been held live over the internet and more than 200 people from across the world had registered to bid online against almost the same amount of absentee commission bidders.

A 1973 Jaguar E-type realised the highest price at £20,500.00, followed by a 1994 MG RV8 sports car at £11,700.00. An unregistered Triumph Bonneville Steve McQueen limited edition motorcycle, commemorating his epic ride at the end of the film The Great Escape (ironically sold on the week-end of the 70th anniversary of the actual escape from the POW camp in Poland) made £8,250.00 and a 1965 Lambretta TV200 scooter £5,200.
