A Driffield business have made a donation to the town’s food bank in the hope of making somebody’s New Year a little brighter.

Jackson Robson Licence Chartered Accountants on Exchange Street, Driffield, have donated two boxes of food and £35 in cash to the Driffield Food Bank which is organised by Driffield Churches Together.

The company chose to collect for the cause after being asked by East Yorkshire Building Society to support a local charity over the festive period.

Staff and customers donated food and money at the accountancy firm.

Pat Dean from Jackson Robson Licence Chartered Accountants said: “We chose the food bank because it is a really good cause and when people often say they have eaten too much over Christmas, there are people who don’t have enough and use the food bank.”

Staff at the company have thanked all those who donated.

On Tuesday 7 January staff from Jackson Robson Licence Chartered Accountants presented representatives from Driffield Food Bank with their donations.
