BREAKING NEWS - Murder inquiry launched in Driffield, East Yorkshire - man arrested
POLICE have launched a murder investigation after a woman died at a house in Driffield.
Officers were called to an address in Clematis Close at around 5.50pm yesterday evening, Wednesday, where a woman had been injured following an alleged assault.
The woman, who has not yet been formally identified and whose age is not known, died at the scene around 50 minutes later.
A 43 year old man was arrested at the scene and is currently in custody for questioning.
A Humberside Police spokesman said the force are treating the case as a murder inquiry.
