Driffield in Lifestyle grand final
DRIFFIELD School is through to the finals of this year's eagerly awaited and hotly contested Lifestyle Rock Challenge competition.
The northern grand finals will be staged at the Grimsby Auditorium on Friday May 30 and Saturday 31 when thousands of students, some from Scotland and Ireland, will gather.
Ten schools from the Humberside Police area are set to take to the stage again.
Driffield School will be performing against Andrew Marvell Business and Enterprise College, Hull; Hornsea School and Language College; Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School, Lincolnshire; Longcroft School and Performing Arts College, Beverley; Matthew Humberstone School, Cleethorpes.
As part of Lifestyles' 20th anniversary celebrations, Humberside Police brought the very first Junior Lifestyle Rock Challenge to the Humber region in April.
The winning school from the event, All Saints Junior School from Hessle, will open the Northern grand final with their stunning performance of The Abolition Of The Slave Trade.
Supporters of the event include Arco, Andrew Marr International, Connexions, East Riding Council, Hull City Safe, Humberside Police Federation, Jacksons Bakery, Joseph & Annie Cattle Trust, North East Lincolnshire Council and Viking FM.
