In 1854 when the Driffield Agricultural Society held the first Driffield Show, their main purpose for doing so was to educate as well as provide a meeting place for the local community.

Now celebrating its 139th Show the Society still places education at the centre of its activities.

On Wednesday, 16 July education will once again play an important part in the Show and as well as the crowd pleasing, Wheat to Bread demonstrations that always attracts a hoard of volunteers to help with the bread making, the Show will also boast a Barley to Beer and Sheep to Jumper demonstrations.
