LLama drama

The zoo at Sewerby Hall and Gardens recently received two new additions and staff are asking members of the public to choose their names.

The first is a female Shetland lamb which was born at Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Saturday, 5 April.

The second is a female llama who is six months old and arrived with her mum on Tuesday, 1 April from a farm in North Yorkshire.

Visitors can pick up an entry form from the Welcome Centre and the two winners will receive an adoption pack for the respective animals. Each adoption pack includes a personalised adoption certificate, a key-ring, a quarterly newsletter and two complimentary admission vouchers. A sign on the animal enclosure will include the winner’s name stating they have adopted the animal for one year.

Any of our animals are available to adopt and prices start from as little as £12.

The scheme is open to everyone – individuals, families, schools or clubs, societies, businesses and companies. Online adoption is also available.
