The people of Driffield turned out in force with their dogs to support Ryedale Dog Rescue during a fun dog show.

The event raised more than £2,000, which will enable the charity to rescue more dogs over the coming months.

Spokesperson Sarah Lally said: “We would like to thank everyone who came along and supported us and hopefully we will see everyone again next year.

“If anyone is interested in volunteering with the rescue or helping us with fundraising in the Driffield area they can contact the Rescue on 07581 324153.”

The Best in Show was Mairi (the German shepherd puppy), pictured with owner Steve Dodds, and Reserve Best in Show Poppy (Bedlington cross).
