Hundreds flock to  Christmas Fayre

SHOPPERS on the hunt for early festive bargains have flocked in their hundreds to the annual Southburn Christmas Fayre.

The ever popular event, held in at Driffiled Showground, featured a wide range of stalls selling everything from hand crafted gifts to home-made cakes and preserves.

The one day event, which regularly raises thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support, has become one of the area’s biggest Christmas shopping events.

The fayre raised around £24,000, keeping pace with last year’s total
