Hunt trials a success
HUNT trials hosted by the Holderness Hunt Supporter's Club have been hailed a success by organisers and competitors.
HHSC secretary Maggie Taylor, said the trials, held at Rise Park, near Hull, featured a new route and themed jumps.
“All the fences were sponsored this year and this was reflected when we built the jumps, with the Silver Cross Pram and Teddies, Fairy Godmother Steps and Bay Horse Barrels being popular additions!”
The novice pony class was won by Anya Marley on Clew Bay Pearl and Nicole Jebson and Razzler took the honours in the novice horse section.
The pairs class was a popular choice for many competitors with Nicole Jebson and Razzler joined by Alexandra Jackson and Merlin in taking the first place rosettes.
The intermediate class was won by by Lucille Brown on Incognito and she also took second on her other mount Shooting Star. The open class was won by Sally Ireland on her horse Mush. Sally was also the inaugural winner of the Trophy Pet Food East Yorkshire Ltd Award as the highest scoring HHSC member.
The HHSC AGM will be held at Tickton Grange on Wednesday October 21.
