Magistrates' court – latest cases

THE latest court cases heard by magistrates sitting at Bridlington have included the following:

l Claire Louise Turton, 34, of Eastfield Road, Driffield, was given an absolute discharge after she pleaded guilty to a charge of causing an unnecessary obstruction with a vehicle on Cardigan Road, Bridlington, on August 5 last year.

l Adam Wayne Paul Wellington, 19, of High Street, Nafferton, was fined 175 after he was found to have used a bicycle without lights being fitted on the A614 at Nafferton on October 14 last year. He was also ordered to pay 85 costs and a 15 victim surcharge.

l Alexander Edwin Coleman, 42, of Meadow Road, Driffield, was fined 90 and had his driving licence endorsed with three penalty points after he pleaded guilty to a charge of using a motor vehicle and trailer which was likely to cause danger of injury, due to inoperative lights and lack of secondary coupling on the trailer, at Well Lane, Bridlington, on October 20 last year. He was also ordered to pay 40 costs and a 15 victim surcharge.
