Oxygen machines taken by thieves

Have your say

Thieves have stolen over 50 oxygen concentrators from a storage unit where they were being prepared for needy patients.

The incident took place between Sunday 2 March and Thursday 6 March when thieves approached the owner’s storage unit off Burton Agnus Road, Rudston.

A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: “Using an angle grinder or similar tool they removed a large padlock and bolt on the door.”

Once inside the building the thieves stole over 50 Devildiss Oxygen Concentrators, designed for medical use.

The police spokeswoman added: “These units were being reconditioned or repaired for use in hospitals and for home patients.

“The units are heavy items so a vehicle would have had to be used to transport them.”

If you have any information about the theft or the location of the units please contact the police on non-emergency number 101 and quote crime number CS/2030643.
