Detectives are investigating after eight beach chalets burned down in Scarborough.
At around 6.05am on Monday 9 December 2013, a group of people from a local gym were exercising on the beach near the Spa Complex when they noticed that the chalets were on fire.
The fire service attended to tackle the blaze and then contacted the police who are now investigating the cause of the fire.
Officers are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident or knows how the fire was started to contact them with information.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Detective Constable Sarah Margetts or Scarborough CID.
