RENEWED CONFIDENCE IN HOUSING MARKET ON ITS WAY, ACCORDING TO BEVERLEY FIRM PETER WARD HOMES

Leading East Yorkshire house builder, Peter Ward Homes, is reporting signs of a renewed confidence among the buying public.

The Beverley-based company, currently building new homes at Hornsea, Goole and at Habrough Fields, four miles west of Grimsby and in the heart of North East Lincolnshire, is forecasting a welcome injection of activity in the housing market soon into the New Year.

Sales and visitor numbers have shown a gradual upturn in recent weeks, especially at the Rawsons Green development at Hornsea, which, in spite of the recession, is proving to be one of the company's most popular sites of the past decade.

Managing director, Peter Ward, said: "Traditionally, the house building sector has always had a fairly quiet Christmas and New Year. Having said that, it is a time of year when people have more free time and many will use that time to look at their budgets and make their decisions on whether or not to buy that desirable new home.

"After all, buying a new house, moving home, is one of the most important decisions of anyone's life and at Peter Ward Homes we have always tried to help our buyers reach the right decision. Over the past 12 to 24 months, while the housing market generally has been flat, we have managed to maintain a good rate of sales thanks largely to the wide range of assistance and incentive packages that we have introduced.

"The recession has made life hard for so many families but people still need to move house – perhaps their family has grown or a new job has forced the relocation. To help our buyers, we have made sure that all our sites have a range of house types and budget to suit just about every buyer's needs and pocket."

Peter Ward Homes are currently building at Captains Close, Goole, Habrough Fields, near Grimsby, and Rawsons Green at Hornsea.
