tesco staff and customers at Driffield’s store are set to put on their dancing shoes to raise funds from Diabetes UK.
Tesco stores across the UK will take part in the largest simultaneous ‘Cha Cha Slide’ dance at 2.30pm on Saturday 25 January,
Local residents are invited to join Tesco staff to take part in the event, making donations towards the £10 million fundraising target fro Diabetes Uk, Tesco’s national charity partner.
Paul Amadi, Director of Fundraisinf for Diabetes UK said: “Dancing for 60 minutes can burn up to 350 calories and it’s a fun way to keep active and help mainatin a healthy weight, which can in turn reduce a person’s risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
“The money raised will make a real difference to the 3.8 million people with diabetes in the UK and help people at high risk of Type 2 diabetes reduce their risk of the condition.”
