The owner of a Driffield sweet shop has thanked all those who supported a charity event over the weekend.
Jeff Stevens, 49, the owner of The Sugar Shack on Middle Street South has thanked those who supported a fun day at the store on Saturday 7 September which raised £131.90 for Breast Cancer Care.
Jeff and his partner, Lesley McKean, 45, will take on Ben Nevis on Sunday (15 September) to raise funds for the charity.
The pair have so far totalled £1,260 in donations from the fun day and a car boot sale at Skirlaugh which raised £140 for the cause. Jeff said: “Thankyou to everyone who supported us and to the company’s who gave donations for prizes: Reflections, Sokells, Stuarts Fish and Chip shop, Beautique 32, Nail and Beauty Secret, the Olive Grove deli and Kenton Wright.”
