Driffield town council has co-opted a new member. She is Kate Wright (pictured here), of Watersedge, who replaces Matthew Garrard, who resigned to persue further education.
Coun Wright is a former social worker who runs her own taxi business, the Wright Car. She will represent the west ward. She said: “I have lived in the East Riding for all but 18 months of my life, when I moved to Shropshire and soon came back. The East Riding is where my roots are and I now can give some time to the town I have always called home.”
