Fire crews from Driffield and Hull attended a car accident on Sunday 19 January.

The incident occurred at 1.28pm three miles south of Driffield on the A614 near Middleton-on-the-Wolds.

A spokesman for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two engines from Driffield and two crews from Clough Road in Hull arrived on the scene at 1.40pm and the stop call was received at 2.49pm.

“One adult male suffering from suspected back injuries and one adult female suffering suspected abdominal injuries were trapped in one vehicle and one adult male suffering from injuries to right hand side trapped in another vehicle.

“Hydraulic cutting equipment, glass management and small tools were in use.

“One casualty was taken to hospital via Air Ambulance, two further casualties were taken to hospital via road.”

The incident has been left with the police.
