Three cheers...
Three cheers for local family businesses! A while ago, we had problems with our TV, we popped into Arthur Day Electricals at lunch time and they came round an hour later to put it right.
During the last cold spell, our boiler packed up and we had no heating or hot water.
A phone call to Chris Gray explaining our predicament resulted in him coming round 10 minutes later to get things working again.
Yesterday, I phoned M.J. Booth at 9.30am as my washing machine had stopped working - a nice man came round before 11am and fixed it for me (I wonder if his name was Jim!).
Oh, and I mustn't forget Darren Noble, the nice computer man who looks after my laptop.
I feel we are so lucky having all these family businesses. They give a far better service than the big companies.
Well done to you all (and all the others that we haven't mentioned).
