Driffield theatre-lovers flocked to enjoy the MADD (Methodist Amateur Dramatics Driffield) pantomime over the weekend.

‘A Mystery in Nursery Rhyme Land’ saw youngsters given the chance to guess ‘who done it’ in the unique show.

The pantomime took place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 February at the Methodist School Room in Driffield.

Written by Val Fairhurst with original songs from Ann Lowde, the show raised £1,000 for charity.

Ann Lowde, who played the Queen of Hearts in the show said: “The show was as a great success and enjoyed by all who came along to watch.

“The children played their parts so well, as did all the cast of Mystery In Nursery Land.

All of Driffield seem to be talking about it.”
