Wanted: family memories of World War One

Gasmasks were vital

Gasmasks were vital

What are your family’s memories of World War One?

The Driffield Times and Post and its sister title the Beverley Guardian will be publishing a series of articles to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War.

We will also be re-publishing week-by-week what made the news in our columns a century ago, and historian Dr Jack Binns will be highlighting various aspects of the war.

We also plan to have the main war-related news pages on our website.

Please send us your memories of family involvement in this huge and tragic event, including photographs, letters and diaries.

We will confirm receipt of your information, copy it and return it to you once we have taken the information we need.

Post your items to us at Times House, Mill Street, Driffield, or alternatively call in or email editorial@driffieldtoday.co.uk, putting War Memories as the subject line
