Pets at St Peter's in Langtoft

ANIMALS large and small were blessed during a special service at St Peter's Church, Langtoft, on Sunday.

A large contingent of adults and children took along a wide variety of pets - including dogs, cats, a hamster and a donkey.

The blessing was performed by assistant priest, the Rev Carole Aconley, who said afterwards that the animals had behaved very well.

Karen Ogden, a vet, also spoke to the congregation about the responsibility involved in keeping pets.
