Play Ranger summer sessions

Have your say

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is urging children to join in the fun of the Play Rangers sessions as part of its summer programme of activities.

Play sessions have been organised throughout the East Riding, giving children the chance to try stilt walking, face painting, dodgeball, football, skateboarding, water fights and creative art and crafts.

The team will be at Hornsea Burton Primary School on 22 July, Fangfoss St. Martin’s Primary School on 29 July, North Frodingham Primary School on 31 July, Burton Agnes Primary School on 5 August, Gilberdyke Primary School on 7 August and Ousefleet village hall on 19 August.

Two play sessions take place every day from 10.30am until 12.30pm and 1pm until 3pm. Children are able to stay all day, but need to bring a packed lunch. The play sessions cost £2.50 each or £5 all day, and are open for children aged five to 12. Younger siblings are also welcome for free with an older brother or sister. An adult must accompany all children under the age of eight. Parents and carers are welcome to join in with the activities if they wish.

Vicky Jude, Play Projects Officer at East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: “The play ranger project enables parents to play and have fun with their children in a very friendly environment. Spending quality time playing as a family is so important and is lots of fun for everyone.”
