Transformers replica vehicles Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee have come to the rescue and will be travelling the roads of Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire this Friday.

A very generous listener Andy Graves contacted Sean Goldsmith from Viking FM Breakfast today, offering support on Cash for Kids Superhero day this Friday.

Friday will see Optimus Prime, and Bumble Bee picking Sean up from Viking Towers and travelling around Hull, Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Bridlington as he collects the funds raised from those supporting the day.

Charity Manager Charlotte Pickering said: “We’d love it if you could suit up, join in the fun and help us fundraise for local children this Friday.

She continued: “This is the sixth year we have celebrated Cash for Kids Day and hope this year will be the most successful to date! It’s humbling to see the support received from individuals and businesses in the local community who are really getting behind the Superhero theme this year.”

A list of where the team will be on the day can be found at

* Viking FM Cash for Kids raised over £840,000 last year and supported over 15,000 local children; with your help we want to do even more this year.
