PLAYERS from the Beverley Polo Club at Tickton were among the winners of the Yorkshire Polo Awards 2008.
The region's three polo clubs, White Rose, Beverley and Toulston, joined forces to stage the black tie event at the Merchant Taylors' Hall in York as a celebration of Yorkshire's thriving polo scene.

Among the award winners were Abigail Foreman, of Beverley Polo Club, who was named best female player, and Jack Coulbeck, also of Beverley Polo Club, who won the award for the best up-and-coming player.
