Designs on an unusual wedding wins for Chris at Harrogate Flower Show

A FLORISTRY designer from Beverley was also among the winners at Harrogate.
Chris Ablett, who was entering the show for the first time, gained a second place with an overall score of 90 out of 100 with an original wedding bouquet design.
The competition was to design a bouquet and hairpiece for a bride whose interests lay in extreme sports, and Chris decided to interpret free diving by designing his bouquet inside a tropical sea shell. Browns and creams were used to complement the tones of the shell.
Chris currently designs from Miss Elle's Florist on North Bar Without, Beverley, while completing his BA (Hons) Degree in Floristry Design.
He plans to enter the autumn Harrogate show - this time targeting first place.
